Anyone have an Idler Arm brace for their 1 gen X?  How much are they, where can I get one and how much of a difference does it make?

Alot of people run the IAB. It is wise money to make the Idler arm a double sheer versus single sheer. I have two actually , one from my old steering and one from my new steering.

Yes you want an idler arm brace- it really helps with the steering offroad.

Idler Arm Brace - I guess you won't really feel much of a difference while driving on pavement. It is more for reinforcement and stability when you're bouncing off rocks and uneven road. It is an essential upgrade... a must if you wheel.

AC, Calmini, Total Chaos has them... but used ones are easy to come by now since a lot of 1st Gen owners have either upgraded or went SAS. I got one for $10. Pretty easy install too... don't even have to remove the tires or raise the vehicle.

You have to paint it yellow before installing it.

after painting yellow it is one bolt. I still have my old calmini one. Not so much blue anymore.

I will make you a deal. I will give you my calmini IAB for a small fee of a good write up on the grounding kit you made for your X. Including pics. I think you mentioned the thread counts of bolts and wire gauge earlier when I asked.

Thanks for the offer.  Pm me and I'll pick it up.  I just finished the write up for the grounding kit.  While I'm there picking up the IAB I can show you my X and what I've done to it.
