I have this weekend off (and upcoming rattlesnake canyon trip)and am going with family to Calico Ghost Town. I have a cabin rented and plan to Mule Trail . Also have my paranormal equipment for ghosts , not expecting bigfoot or grey aliens this time. Doran loop, Phillips and gate keeper not on agenda

Been the Calico a couple of times and had fun.  Found a downed weather balloon on a trail near there which was pretty awesome.  Have a good weekend.

A "weather balloon"?  Wasn't that what they found at Roswell too?

There's no such thing as "weather balloons".

Well that's what it said it was.  Had it here at the house for months until I finally tossed it out.  Looked pretty cool.....but what was I going to do with it?  I'll look for some photos and post them.

Are you sure you want to do that?  If some guys in dark glasses driving black Crown Vics show up on your doorstep shortly after, don't bother running out the back door - they'll have guys there too.

I actually lost a weather balloon once in South Orange county. Had it tied down (or I thought) over night and when I came back the next day it was gone. Not sure if it floated away or a critter took it.

Calico is a great place, we just visited there in November.

Did a little panning for "gold."
