Only need two, they are the uppers. They are slightly longer to allow correct alignment after cranking the torsion bars.

They allow you to get correct alignment after cranking the torsion bars (more than you can when doing a Poor Mans Lift). Simply remove the stock upper arms and put these in place, crank t-bars and then get alignment

Thats a body lift, you are essentially lifting the body off the body mounts...installing 2" spacers and bolting back on. You can put together a kit for under $100 that will do the same thing. Its not too difficult to do either. Where are you located? So if you do decide to piece together a body lift there may be people on here local to ya to help install it.

Christiaan...spend a little money to get a good air compressor. It is something you will use frequently, and can move from car to car as you upgrade and eventually get a 4x4.
Viair makes quality compressors. You bought a quality strap from ARB (great choice) which you will need to offer wheeling in 2WD. IMHO, don't skimp on the compressor.

Ruination, South Orange County (San Clemente).... John....I've heard the air compressor advice before and forgotten it....it will be my next purchase.... Yeah, I'm not such a big fan of body lifts because the suspension just stays where it was before and I think it looks ugly w/out a SL, but that's just me. Alas, it's a start... Yeah, the strap is the first vital piece....I was thinking a jack next, but will definitely do a compressor instead. And one that hooks up to the battery terminals, if I remember correctly... As always, thanks a ton guys....your patience/wisdom is much appreciated |

Wow. That's a HUGE help...I really did not know that and it will help me hunt all that much easier...and @Patrick....since our Rattlesnake Xcursion, I've put alot of time into debating new 4x vs. modding my truck....and I'm leaning more towards modding my truck, but just recently came to that conclusion....so, I'll be posting little things here and there (just reached out to that CL ad to see if those uppers are still available)... I'm not sure if you've already checked out clubxterra.org, but I got a lot of information regarding my lifts, DIY stuff, and alot of inspiration of how I wanted my truck to look and handle from that site. It was the first forum I got hooked on before finding SCCX. I suggest getting registered on that site also if you're not already (by registering you'll gain access to member profiles and DIY pages). A lot of great info to read through.
