It looks like I'll be meeting a couple of people at least at the Chevron Station on the corner of Scripps Poway Parkway and Pomerado Road.  If anyone wants to meet there be sure to let me know so that I know to look for you.

Chevron Station - Corner of Scripps Poway Parkway and Pomerado Road, San Diego (Poway sort of) - this is about 3 miles east of I-15.

Be there in time to leave there at 8:00AM.

Congrats in advance on the new kid.  I'll be doing more trips out to Anza Borrego over the next several months, just keep an eye on this forum - I don't always remember to cross-post to thenewx.   Or, if there is someplace you plan to go and want company, just post up details and see if anyone wants to join.

Frank, I'll hook up with the group @ the Chevron Station as well...  See you @ 8:00...  Looking forward to getting out and meeting new members and getting the truck a bit dirty.

Bring the date along to the desert - this is a great trip for that.  I can promise we probably won't scare her away.

You might, LOL, she drives a lifted double cab '04 Tacoma.  Grin  But no, for this date, she asked to go to the theater.  So we've got a murder mystery thing in Riverside that I'm going to surprise her with.

Looks like we should have some nice weather out there on Saturday.  For those who are into photography, we should have some nice clouds to make for an interesting sky.

Frank, Sorry for that last minute bail, but I was out of work sick Wed-Thurs and limped by today.  I don't want to over-extend myself, so I'll have to opt out and look to make the next Xcursion.  I was really looking forward to a relaxing trip with some good Photo-Ops for added measure.

We'll miss you Mark.  Looks like it may be a pretty small group compared to prior years.

Well, we never got to Fish Creek and Sandstone Canyon, but we did have a good time.  It was pretty nice out there, with lots of variety in terms of trails and scenery.  The apple-boysenberry pie was good too.

I put up some pictures and narrative over in the Pictures Forum.
