This is one of those stupid little things I've been meaning to do for years, but never did, and finally did.  In under 10 minutes and for free, you too can have more clearance at your axle.

Most everyone removes their rear swaybar.  The mounts one the axle, however, remain and always get snagged on things on the trail.  Grab your fave cutting tool and a sharpie and get them gone.

All you have to do is mark a 45 degree up line on each side and a cross mark, scribe them and cut.  I used my 4 1/2 cutting wheel followed up by a quick flashing with a flap wheel.  Done.

If you're not comfortable cutting in the limited space on one side, just cut first from the inside and across the face, then take a BFH and bash the mount over, and make the last cut from the inside.  You can, of course, cut the whole thing off.  I chose not to because I'm going to use the top portion for part of a future project.

And there you are.

Well, sometimes I like to mull things over for a bit.
